James Steiner

James came to Christ in 1993, at age 33, thanks to God’s pursuit of him through a vibrant men’s ministry at a church in the East Bay Area of San Francisco.

He has over 19 years of men’s ministry involvement — helping pray, plan, and execute vibrant programs where he’s seen and experienced God heal and move in miraculous ways. He served on his church council for over five years during a season of rapid church growth. Since joining Men’s Ministry Catalyst, James has engaged over 500 churches throughout the United States to assist them with their ministry to men. Within the past six years, James and his team have surveyed over 6000 men regarding their spiritual perceptions (needs and wants) in order to gain a better perspective on how to create and shape effective ministry models for churches to implement that are appealing to men, applicable to men, and yield Kingdom results for men as they lead their families, businesses, churches, and communities.

He also has over 24 years of business development experience assisting over 600 firms plan and execute going to market strategies throughout North American and 27 European countries. James has been happily married to Whitney since 1988. In April 2005, he and Whitney relocated to North Idaho to assist Jim Grassi and re-engineer and re-launch Outdoor Connection Ministries as Men’s Ministry Catalyst. In 2011, James and Whitney moved back to California in order to work with the growing number of churches requesting assistance from MMC in the northern California area.

James brings a great deal of enthusiasm, creativity, and humor to churches looking to jumpstart or improve their ministry to men. James serves as the CEO of Men’s Ministry Catalyst.
