Doug McCary
Former FBI Special Agent
Director of Evangelism and Outreach, Men At The Cross
Doug and his wife, Lori, grew up in Meridian, Mississippi and they both entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as young children. They married in 1983 and Doug began an eight year career in the Marine Corps where he flew the AV-8B Harrier. In 1987, Doug was flying on a low-level training mission and had a birdstrike. A five-pound turkey buzzard crashed through his windscreen, critically injuring him and severely damaging the plane. After this near-fatal mishap, the Lord provided Doug with many opportunities to share his testimony.
In 1991, Doug moved on to a new career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Jacksonville, Florida. After a life-changing short-term mission trip to Russia, Doug and Lori both sensed God’s call to full time ministry. In Jan. 1995, Doug joined East-West Ministries, Intl. where he worked for five years as an itinerant evangelist focusing primarily on the former Soviet Union.
Doug is presently working as the Director of Evangelism and Outreach for Men At The Cross. In the past, he has worked as the Director of Evangelism for East-West Ministries, Int’l, partnered with Campus Crusade for Christ, New Tribes Missions, F.C.A. (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), served as chaplain to the Houston Cougars and Houston Rockets Basketball teams and as a chaplain at a local motocross track. He is a frequent speaker at F.C.A. camps, Pine Cove Family camp, and men’s conferences and retreats. Doug continues to partner with ministries that focus on discipleship, international church planting and training, and evangelistic penetration by whatever creative ways fit the audience of opportunity, e.g. (CEO, Law Enforcement, Medical, and Military conferences).
Doug has conducted many church planting campaigns throughout Eastern Europe, Central Asia, India, and spoken at numerous open-air preaching events throughout the world. He trains church leaders through relational evangelism seminars and Evangelism Leadership Conferences here and abroad. Doug also brings evangelistic messages at other conferences, retreats, universities, and youth events around the U.S.
Doug and Lori have 5 children and reside in Frisco, TX. |

The Narrow Road: A Strong Invitation to A Higher Allegiance (Emerging men: Ages 13-19)
Kenny Luck
Men’s Pastor, Saddleback Church - Lake Forest, California
Founder/President, Every Man Ministries
There is no such thing as playing both sides with God. Jesus demanded loyalty from his disciples, especially in their private lives and public commitment.
This was the difference between the posers and the men who would later die as his disciples. This session is for young men who want to make
the strong decisions now so that the next 50 will be filled with less regret, dangerously good adventures, and more faithfulness to God. You will learn the keys
living confidently and courageously for Christ in YOUR generation. |

A Man with a Plan: Starting Points for Spiritual Growth
Joe Miller, Logos Software Representative
Logos Software, Bellingham, WA
Many times we, as men, are encouraged and motivated to overhaul our spiritual lives. We are ready to get serious. However, while our hearts are in the right place, Monday morning looms around the corner. The alarm goes off, the workday starts, we run kids to practice after school, and we arrive home exhausted. The truth is, we need more than just encouragement and motivation we need a plan. This seminar is going to show you several starting points. You will discover a daily Bible reading plan that works for you, because we all approach things differently – having several choices is good. You’ll be shown how “not having time” is a thing of the past, because you’ll be able to access the Bible, your favorite Christian books, prayer data, etc. anywhere – even on your cell phone. Location is no longer getting in the way – it is irrelevant. But, most important, you’ll be shown simple, easy to use tools that can help you learn and understand the Bible at your level. |
