Men’s Ministry Best Practices: Avoiding Common Failures

Igniting Your Men's Breakfast - Quick Tips

Have you been doing the same old Saturday morning pancake breakfast for your men every month? Or are you afraid to start a men's breakfast because you've been to some really boring ones? Consider applying these "best practice" tips:

1. Vary your program - By selecting various programs, you can bring interest, excitement, and variety to men getting together on a monthly basis. Vary the topic, the speaker, and even the format so it doesn't become boring and predictable.

2. Vary the food - To be most effective the breakfast meal should be different each time. Get away from the same old burnt pancake with pre-cooked sausages.  Involve cooks who have a passion to serve men and want to be creative in what is being served, how the meal is served, and that plenty of food is available for ample portions.

3. Create anointed appointments - Ask some of your mature brothers to serve as table leaders and commission them to be in prayer 1-2 wks in advance of the breakfast, asking for God’s will to be done.

You can find more best practice tips for your breakfasts in our web-based library (accessible to our engaged churches.)
