Faith Fellowship : San Leandro, CA
Faith Fellowship, located in San Leandro, CA, is a mature church and would say they have had a mature men's ministry. Their senior pastor has even written a book on being a godly man. But when it came to implementing men's ministry at Faith Fellowship, they would say it was feast or famine.
Thomas, their men's ministry leader thought he had a men's council, but when he tried to execute on a plan recently, he found these guys weren't able to help. Thomas was able to find a few more men to get involved using - you guessed it - our men's ministry survey (try it yourself to see its value). This started the process for them to relaunch their ministry to men. Their annual calendar is now filling up with both types of efforts: those designed to feed the men and those designed to reach out to the unchurched.
Lessons from Faith Fellowship:
- Even a mature, men-oriented church has to periodically assess their men's ministry and refocus
- It's never too late to use the survey!
