Cd'A Bible Church: Coeur d'Alene, ID

flyerCoeur d'Alene Bible Church in Coeur d'Alene, ID recently prayed, planned and executed a fantastic men's event called "Flavor of the Wild" sportsman's dinner. It was an off-the-hook, sold-out event featuring Larry D. Jones, author and hunter.

The men of CdA Bible did a great job promoting the event and created an environment with the decorations that really connected with the guys. They displayed full-color posters around town and made tickets available at multiple locations, including businesses owned by some of the men in the church. They used 250 sheds (animal antlers) to decorate a tunnel the guys had to walk through to enter the venue. They used 40 trees to turn their church gymnasium into a forest/hunting environment and really set the stage for a powerful and fun night. It was surprising how important the ambience was to the men.

Lesson learned:

  • This event was a great rallying point for nonbelievers to enter a church building and experience a non-threatening environment
  • Don't underestimate the power of great decorations - they are not just for women's events!
