Men’s Ministry Best Practices: Avoiding Common Failures

The Plan: Respect Men's Time

In Pillar 3, we talk about "the plan and the calendar". When you put your plans in place and start developing your programs, you need to remember: men want structured time.

In order for men to make a commitment to an event or a gathering, they like to know the start and end times. They don't feel comfortable with activities that are open-ended. In fact, if you can end your event or program 15 minutes early, that is even better! Be sure these times are clearly communicated in your promotional materials, and make certain everyone on your team is aware of the time guidelines and places a high value on sticking to them.

Respect men's time - they will appreciate it, and be more likely to return to other events or meetings you host.
